State Nebraska Bank & Trust held its annual employee Soup Cook Off the week of Dec. 4-8, to raise money for the local Wayne Food Pantry.
Employees signed up to make different kinds of soup each day, and then voted on the best tasting ones with a donation to the Food Pantry. Homemade soups included dill pickle, taco, tomato pepper, beef barley, and more. Alex Salmon’s chicken tortilla soup received the most votes.
Overall, SNB employees raised $177.25 to donate to the Wayne Food Pantry. SNB employees also collected a large tote of food to donate with the check.
